Today we played with the Arduino board. After having some lectures on how the electric wiring should be done, we managed to get quite a good hang of how things worked.
We were a little bit crowded (six persons for one Arduino), so I did not get around to test the programming. It seemed easy enough though, seeing as the language bear a strong similarity to C.
I definitely feel that we should go with the Arduino, rather than the Phidget for the prototype. This is due to two reasons; the main one being that it's relatively cheap. This makes it possible to buy one for later projects. The second reason is that we don't have to connect it to a computer, which actually is a very big plus.
Anyway, today we just tried out the board, and saw that it was relatively easy to use. Now the focus is on the project, we still doesn't have an idea of what we want to build.
